Professional Summary
Mariana specializes in corporate law and international business law, including expertise in tax matters related to these areas. Her legal practice focuses primarily on corporate and contractual issues, such as establishing new businesses (start-ups), reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and multinational investments across a diverse range of industries and services.
Currently, she leads the Corporate and Business Law department at A&F, managing local and international clients. She also serves as a director and statutory auditor for various companies and as a local representative for foreign-incorporated entities conducting regular business in the country.
In recent years, she has provided comprehensive advisory services for a project involving the construction of an industrial plant under international bidding processes. Additionally, she has advised on financing agreements for various projects, led due diligence processes, and negotiated contracts for the acquisition of local companies by international groups, among other responsibilities.
In 2012, Mariana traveled to the Netherlands, where she lived for a year and a half, earning a Master’s degree in law. In 2015, she spent a year in China on the Xiamen University campus. Both experiences were enriching and challenging, offering opportunities to attend postgraduate law courses and engage with professors from around the world. These experiences broadened her international perspective on law, deepened her interest in comparative law, and enhanced her multilingual communication skills.
Her professional experience includes working as an Associate at Brons & Salas (1999–2012). She joined A&F at its inception and was promoted to Partner in 2016.
Academic Background
Mariana obtained her law degree in 2002 from the University of Buenos Aires. She graduated with honors (cum laude) from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, earning a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Economic and Business Law in 2014. She also completed postgraduate courses at Austral University in tax advisory and specialized in corporate law at the University of Buenos Aires.
